Allusion Blind Measuring

Hints:

  • NEVER use house plan/window schedule sizes.
  • ALWAYS use a metal tape measure, record sizes in order of width x height in millimetres.
  • Measure Allusions to fit outside the frame.
  • Fitting 100mm above the frame is standard as there should be solid fixing to screw into.
  • Optional, print this worksheet to record measurements Measure Sheet

Tools Required:

  • Metal tape measure + Pencil

Step 1: Measure Width

Allusion Blinds are outside fit only. Just measure exactly where you would like the blind to fit, including the stacking amount. You need to decide if you are stacking one way or centre open.

To measure width, hook a metal tape over the outside edge of the width of the door/window frame, record the measurement. Next Decide your stacking amount, e.g., + 300mm-400mm of overhang and make sure to add this to the width measurement you took.

Example: frame width 2000mm + one way stack of 300mm = 2300mm ordered width.

TIP: Check your overall finished size will not impede any objects such as furniture.

Step 2: Measure Drop

Hook a metal tape over the outside edge of the height of the frame, down to the flooring, record the measurement. Add 100mm to the height. This is the height you will fit the headrail at. Don't go higher, its important you are screwing into solid fixing.

Example: frame height 2000mm + 100mm above = 2100mm ordered height.

Step 3: Controls and Stacking

Choose control side, the control is either a combination of chains and cords or a wand and placed usually at the most convenient side to access.

Allusion Blind stacking options are Left Stack, Right Stack and Centre Split Stack.
