Sunscreen Roller Blind 10 Percent
Sunscreen roller blinds for UV protection and glare
Sunscreen roller blinds are designed to minimise glare and give maximum UV protection while still allowing light into room. They are available with openness factors of 2%, 3% , 5% or 10 %. The higher the openness percentage the better the visibility however you do lose a small percentage of UV protection. Traditionally 5% sunscreens have been the most popular as they have a great all round performance with good visibility and excellent UV protection. The 2 &3% are gaining popularity due to the finer weave so they are a bit more subtle to look at. If you have a need for greater vision then 10% will give this. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WHILE YOU HAVE TOTAL PRIVACY DURING THE DAY, AT NIGHT ANYONE OUTSIDE CAN SEE STRAIGHT IN WHEN LIGHTS ARE ON.
Samples
We strongly encourage all customers to order samples of the different blind types and colours they are interested in prior to placing the order. These will be delivered to you within three working days and you can then make your choice and come back to the website to place your order.
Measuring Advice
Use a metal tape measure, measure width by height in millimeters (mm) as this is what our system uses to generate your instant quote. We do have measuring guides that explain how to measure. Please provide an accurate tight measurement, we take necessary deductions here at the factory.
Size Not Available
Check that you are entering your sizes in millimetres (mm) e.g. 1 metre is 1000mm. Alternatively the size you are attempting to entre may be outside of spec (too small or too big).

This refers to the options of fitting the blinds inside the frame (inside)
Or fitting the blind to the frames face (outside) (PLEASE NOTE ON ROLLER BLINDS THE SIZE YOU GIVE US IS TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE BRACKETS THE FABRIC IS 33mm NARROWER TO ALLOW FOR CONTROLS) View Options
XRoll type refers to the options of front roll or back roll.
Front roll: rolling blind fabric over the front of the tube.
Back roll: rolling fabric over the back of the tube.
Traditionally it is standard to roll over the back. However, some factors lead to front rolling being the best option e.g. the fabric has a white block-out backing. Or the blinds are being fitted in a bay window or over a door with large handles.
XThe control is the mechanism that allows the user to operate the blind in the form of a chain and cord or the optional Wand control. You must choose what side you would like to operate the blind from, left or right.
Generally as a rule we recommend selecting the side that has easy access for the user. Or the side that is furtherest away from the opening of windows or doors if possible.
This is the type of control required for your roller blind. Standard type is chain operated. The other option is motorized with a selection of motor types available. Please refer to motor options in accessories section for size limits on different motors. If purchasing one blind that is motorized you will need to by a complete motor kit (lithium type or 240v type) any additional blinds can be controlled with the remote supplied in the first kit (up to 5 channels). If purchasing the AA Battery type motor you will require one full kit per blind.
XControl chain length is the length of the chain that operates your blind. The chain must be at least half the drop of the blind. For example if your blind is 1200mm high chain must be at least 600mm. We can also supply child safety devices to hold your chains to the wall so there is no risk to young children. If you require child safety devices please make a note in comments section when placing order.
XThe chain colour refers to the colour of the chain which operates the blind.
We recommend co-ordinating colours work best. For example having the chain, drive unit, bottom rail all the same colour and a colour that compliments the blind fabrics or surrounding features in your home. View colours here
XThe bottom rail style refers to the style and colour of the bottom rail which sits along the bottom edge of the roller blind.
We suggest linking all blind component colours together such as the bottom rail, chain, and brackets, drive unit.
Bottom rails are available in various different shapes. They are available round, oval or flat.
Our new designer style base rail only suitable for certain fabrics, this is where th fabric is wrapped around a flat bottom rail View Here
XSome blinds require specialty brackets, for example: If you require double blinds you can use one bracket to hold both blinds, this is handy when you wish to have both sunscreen and blockout roller blinds on the same window. Double Blind Bracket
XLINK SYSTEMS (not required for one blind on its own)
Link Brackets are required when you are ordering two blinds side by side usually to cover a wide window. This is perfect for when the windows or doors are wider than 3000mm which is the maximum of most of our roller fabrics. Link Brackets are centre brackets used to support where the two blinds are meeting. There are a few ways you can order these.
LINK BRACKET NON DRIVEN allows individual control over each blind, you must order a left and right chain for your blinds. The non-driven link allows the blinds to function independent of one another.
LINK BRACKET DRIVEN allows the two blinds to be controlled at the same time using one chain at the specified end.
